Day 3 Golf at Fontainebleau golf course Set in the heart of the most famous sandstone forest, Fontainebleau golf course is a real gem designed by Tom Simpson at his top and has been ranked among the top ten courses in Continental Europe in 2001. With its narrow and undulated fairways surrounded on both sides by the dense forest and the numerous bunkers all along, this magnificent and peaceful course is a constant challenge of accuracy.The exceptional sandstone rocks are sometimes integrated into the course, especially on the 12th, a short par 5 where strategy will prevail on power.On this pure natural course, where Ben Hogan played for American Soldiers in 1953, each hole is separated from the others, which provides quietness and harmony to any playerLodging in Paris
Day 4 Golf at Paris International Club golf courseLocated within 15 miles from the French Capital, Paris International Club is the only golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus in France. This hilly parkland course with great water hazards and island greens is a championship eighteen holes which has hosted the French Ladies Open part of the European PGA tour. With its impeccable fairways and manicured greens, Paris International Club is one of the highest quality course in Paris area. Day 6 Golf at Chantilly (old) golf courseRegularly ranked among the top ten courses in Continental Europe, Chantilly golf course is a real challenge for golfers.Designed by one of the best golf architect in the beginning of the century, Tom Simpson, Chantilly hosted 10 times the French Open (part of the European PGA) in the eighties with world class champions such as Nick Faldo winner of the 1989 edition as he was at his top.The world’s best players (including Bobby Jones) have played at Chantilly, French counter part of the Royal and Ancient, and all of them have suffered on terrible roughs comparable to those in the British Open.Lodging in Paris
Day 7 Golf at National Albatross golf courseThe Golf National (Albatross course) is a championship links course, site of the French Open (part of the European PGA) for the last 10 years, and ranked by Golf Weekly Magazine as the 3rd best European professional tournament venue.Within 20 miles only from Paris Notre Dame church, one can easily thinks oneself in Ireland with this Irish links design, even more Irish when the wind blows. Under these conditions, the Albatross course can be considered as one of the toughest course in Europe where playing one’s handicap is a miracle.The finish on 18th, a short par 5 with water hazard in front of the green remains a fantastic challenge for those who would attempt to reach it in two strokes.Lodging in Paris
