Situated at the start of the fens this is a delightful pay and play course
It developed from three holes to five to nine and during 2000 a further three hole were added. In August 2007 6 more holes were added to take the course to the fuil 18.
All 6 new holes have been allowed to mature over a number of years before bringing them play.
The course measures 5487 yards from the white tees with one par 5 and 3 par 3 holes and the rest are challenging par 4's. The Stroke Index 1 hole is the 4th at 394 yards with water on the left from the tee and slight dogleg right into a well protected green.
Around the course there are many strategically placed ditches and dykes which mean that you really have to plan you way around the course and when the fenland winds start to blow it can add a quite a few extra shots to your round. There are new water features on th 8th & the 15th and more than 500 trees have been re-planted.
One of the real feature holes is the short par 4 6th with the small green protected by an array of solid pine trees do you fade it round with a three wood or driver or lay up short with an iron?
It is a course that is easy on your legs with no hard climbs and because of the type of terrain it drains very well and is open all year round
West Suffolk Golf Centre is a welcoming place; you can pay and play the course for £14.00 per day week days for 18 holes or £18 per day. Weekends/ Bank Holidays. It is an ideal place to learn the game of golf with excellent practice facilities and an experience PGA pro with whom you can book your lessons.
Societies and small groups are welcome and there is a full snack menu available in the Denny Barnes Golf Lounge.

The West Suffolk Golf Centre is a family run concern providing a full range of golfing facilities for both members and non-members in an attractive setting with a warm and friendly atmosphere. As well as the 18 hole course the facilty also has a floodlit driving range, a putting green, club house and shop.
There is an abundance of interesting wildlife in the area and the owners of the centre are keen conservationists who take special care of the flora and fauna on and around the centre.
Corporate and group days can be arranged for the golf course and complete beginners can have full use of the driving range. Lessons are available from the Club Professional and introductions to the golf course for the beginner should it be necessary
